The story of POWERCARE A/S actually starts before the formal founding in 2000. In the late 90s, founder and current owner, Lisbeth Sejer had experienced life as a temporary worker in Norway, and with the transition to a new and exciting millennium these experiences inspired her to start her own employment agency with a focus on quality assurance, quick response time and a high level of service. The long-awaited labour of love was named POWERCARE, and it would bring the temporary employment industry into a new era.
The beginning was marked by hard work. Neither customers nor temps came knocking at the door all by themselves, so there was a need to perform a lot of outreach work and everything needed to be set up in a system. Slowly, customers in Norway took note of the office in Denmark that through perseverance and professional insight sent competent temps out who matched the departments' needs. It started with the nurses, then the midwives quickly came along on the basis of recommendations from departments and hospitals.
Slowly but surely, the customer database grew and temporary workers also started to seek out POWERCARE. The temporary workers had also become aware of the high level of service and good wages that were available to them. Even in the early years, POWERCARE was laying the foundation for long-term success.
